About Run Tulsi Run
Aloha! Run Tulsi Run (RTR) was founded on February 28, 2016 after Hawaii Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard (D) resigned from the DNC. RTR was conceptualized in March as the foundation to call for a truly people powered movement with the aim to prepare a platform for Tulsi Gabbard to run for president in 2020. Why Tulsi Gabbard? As a member of the National Guard and veteran of the Iraq war, Tulsi understands the cost of war and continuously speaks out about the illegal and counter-productive wars and US foreign policy with regard to regime change that have cost our nation the loss of so much blood and treasure.
Tulsi has spent her life fighting for better economic, social, and environmental justice her entire career, is a champion of the working class, and works effectively with members from the other side of the aisle and she has the ability to build bipartisan consensus.
Most importantly, we at RTR believe that Representative Gabbard is the most superior candidate because of her service to her country and her unquestionable reputation and integrity. Tulsi is committed to campaign finance reform, overturning Citizens United, and returning our government to its rightful owners – we the people of these United States.
Tulsi always greets people with Aloha, it’s a word that is powerful in her life and means a great deal to her. The word Aloha holds within itself all one needs to know to interact rightfully in the natural world. These insights describe an attitude or way of life sometimes called “The Aloha Spirit”. Tulsi lives by the Aloha Spirit as she serves the American people. This is why she is truly a representative of the people.
Run Tulsi Run is fortunate to be working with some of the best and brightest talent who are committed to building a people powered movement – people who are interested in making history… we are not waiting for others to make decisions for us.

Tulsi Gabbard's endorsement of Bernie Sanders
“As a vice chair of the D.N.C., I am required to stay neutral in democratic primaries, but I cannot remain neutral any longer…”
“The stakes are just too high. That’s why today I’m endorsing Senator Bernie Sanders to be our next president and commander in chief of the United States.”
